CHESHAM TOWN TWINNING

Chesham

has three twin towns

Friedrichsdorf, Germany, linked in 1980, is close to Frankfurt, at the foot of the Taunus Hills

Houilles, France, linked in 1986 is a town on the outskirts of Paris, just a short train ride

(15 minutes) from the centre of the capital

Archena, linked in 1995, is in the Murcia region of south-east Spain, in fruit-growing country, surrounded by mountains and in one of the driest regions of Europe.

Since 1980 Chesham Town Twinning Association has organised exchanges with its twin towns involving sportsmen and women, boys and girls, musicians, singers, as well as social exchanges with people from Chesham staying in the homes of host families and, in turn, entertaining them on return visits.
